Tally My Post is a tool intended to provide you with an indicative idea of the average value of items it can identify in your photo. It will provide you with average values for brand new items, even if your item isn't new.

Under State's Contents Comprehensive policy, most stuff is covered for the cost of buying a brand-new replacement e.g., a laptop that is five years old or newer, but some stuff is covered for its present value based on age, quality, capability and condition e.g. clothing and footwear. There may be maximum policy limits that apply for certain types of contents (subject to any specified sum insured). For full details on what items are covered for present value rather than replacement value, and what is and isn't covered under our contents policy, visit our website.

An external supplier has provided the technology for image detection. This technology does not recognise the quality, age, condition, capability or brand of your items and, in some instances, it may not be able to identify all items shown in your photo.

Tally My Post is not intended to provide a basis for setting a sum insured for any contents insurance. To determine an appropriate sum insured for your contents, we suggest you seek expert advice to ensure your contents are adequately covered.
